Grainger McKoy Jewelry and Sculptures: Not Just for the Birds!

Grainger McKoy has a passion for the "pursuit of the flight of birds in wood." For a quarter century McKoy has been masterfully carving bird sculptures out of wood. Recently he opened up a whole new territory, he started using his wood carvings into bronze casts in which he poured gold and silver into. This discovery also moved him into the realm of wearable sculptures, or jewelry. Like his sculpture, the "jewelry design is of or about a bird, and starts with a piece of wood and a sharp blade."

The jewelry line, which started as a Christmas Gift for Mckoy's wife, has flourished. Now woman can purchase earrings, necklaces, pendants, and bracelets in Gold or Sterling Silver fashioned from feathers, quails, and other birdly inspirations. The Recovery Stroke Earrings were made upon a customer's request for a gift to give on the 10th anniversary of their wife surviving cancer, these earrings are based on a 12-foot tall Recovery Stroke Sculpture for Swan Lake Gardens in Sumter, South Carolina.

Men can enjoy cufflinks, money clips, rings, and lapel pins. This is the perfect Christmas gift for the avid hunter and bird lover. The Quail cufflink and stud set are their best sellers.

Sallie home is pleased to announced that we are now one of the lucky retail stores that is privileged enough to sell Grainger McKoy. Grainger McKoy will be at Sallie home in St. Louis, MO, November 18th, 2010 to debut his entire line, gold and silver.

New Dinnerware from Raynaud!

Raynaud Porcelain Limoges Tableware and Dinnerware has introduced a new amazing collection of fine china called "Silver". Silver is a fun dinnerware line which is named after a common theme of all the piece in this collection, the color silver. The fun thing about this collection is its diversity in each plate, bowl, or cup's pattern. Some have just a silver rim around the inner and outer edge, other pieces have a clover pattern covering the surface or just the rim. The clovers look as if they are made from bent metal and are attached together by a tiny ring and come in different sizes depending on the piece of china. Though very different, together this collection forms a cohesive and interesting look for the table you must try. Warwick Silver Chalices; Medieval Bridal Trend

Warwick Silver specializes in silver products - anything from frames, to serving pieces, to baby gifts. Here at Sallie Home, a very popular bridal registry item and wedding gift is the silver Chalice by Warwick.

The silver chalices come in five different patterns: Hammered, Birmingham, Manchester, Sussex, and Gadroon. All have very unique detailing and look beautiful on a well-appointed dining room table. The Gadroon and Hammered are probably the least ornate chalices of the group. If you love detailing, I suggest you check out the Sussex Chalice by Warwick. This specific chalice has beautiful flower and beaded detail work on the outside as well as a gorgeous textured pattern on the inside. These are very unique stemware pieces, far less ordinary than the typical crystal stemware, and they will surely impress your guests.
